Diamond Angel

This entire saga started from his idea of making a clear avatar, a character only interested in observing the Accelerated World. As you shall see, some of those ideas are a little too big for the universe...

For the sake of presentation, I have little choice but to insert line breaks and additional formatting whenever important points come up. His original text is a genuinely huge wall of text with no spaces whatsoever.

As for '===', it's to separate his posts, made over the span of a few weeks.


A few posts ago I mention if there were an existence of "clear" duel avatars, they would be observers and will interfere if they chose to. They can chose to reject a duel. They are being that technically don't existence, not even the creator knows. They don't usually side with anyone and their purpose is to monitor the Accel World. The users behind the avatars are older than the oldest kids with Neurolinkers. They made have been subjects to test the Neurolinkers. Kind of horrible and painful, right. I made up a duel avatar named Diamond Angel.

Like all "clear" duel avatars, he had invisibility and phasing capables (so no one can see or touch them). Their weakness is white energy which can give them agonizing pain if by it. Another is a rare energy crystal that exist in the Accel World and really hard to find and not in huge amounts called "Chronocite". This crystal can forcefully uninstall a "clear" duel avatar given enough energy, however the drawback is that the user will suffer so much pain that he or she will end up in a coma (hence it is not the prefer method to take).

Diamond Angel can also fly like SC, which makes his job easier. He is an expert in aerial combat more than SC.

He can, also another trait of the "clear" avatar, change his armor color.

The user is a computer hacker is his late 20s and has family connect to the creation of both the Neurolinkers and Accel World. He spends most of the day in the Accel World and only goes offline to eat and shop for stuff. He has a watch that detects Brain Burst activity and jump in anytime if necessary. He can access anyone Neurolinker to detain the individual both in the real world and the Accel World. He is very good in keeping a low profile.

The white king and Aqua Current are the only ones that know of his and his kinds' existence, but keeps it a secret since they don't get involve with duel avatars that much. For some strange reason, Aqua Current can see through their invisibility capable, but can't touch them.

His Neurolinker is more modified and is unhackable and untracable. He always carries a chrome laptop when we go out in the real world.

He has an agenda to capture Black Vise for some unknown reason, but doesn't to capture him out in the open (too much attention).

In level is unknown, but he is able to smash blue knight' armor with one hand even though the blue knight is not aware of who hit him. Pretty cool avatar some far, right?


Again, they is just ideas. But I wasn't kidding about the "clear" avatars being the observers. I mentioned that the computer hacker was one of many test subjects to test the Neurolinkers ...meaning this took place before 16 years ago when it was official. There many things we don't before the 16 years.

Also I forgot to tell you the hacker is a freakin' genius. He knows how the Neurolinkers operate because he connect to the experiment and knew about the Accel World before more people became aware of it. There are secrets that we never though of or were possible. Computer hacker is an occupation, so know a lot of other things. I chose white light as a weakness because it splits into a spectrum of colors when though a "clear" prism.

Also, the guy is NOT overweight he is regular size. I'm open to better ideas to support this idea. The user of Diamond Angel is a genius that hides from the public. The reason I pick computer hacker is that I don't want to go into too much detail.

Name: Danny "Ghost" Hayes

Experience: Computer Hacking, Neurolinker Hacking, Neurology, Biotechnology, Knowledge of Neurolinker framework, Knowledge of the Accel World's "Mainframe", explosive expert, strategist, can speak 16 different languages and firearms specialist.

Connection to Accel World: He was a volunteering test subject for the prototype Neurolinker and was one of eight that survived the experiment, father was one of the researchers that was part of the Neurolinker project, stole one of the Brain Burst program prototype and successful got in to the Accel World by luck and has been studying the world in secrecy.

Personal Info: He is the son of a biotech neurologist father and a well-known medical doctor mother. Since he was little, he was a child prodigy and excelled in a lot of fields of education. However, he doesn't like his life as genius as he gained no real friends. He want to be free and live a normal life. At age 12, he graduated from MIT with honors. A year later, he volunteered to be test with the prototype Neurolinker as it is his only way to be "free". Even though his father was against because of the risk, he understand his suffering and feelings and lets him proceed. It was thanks to his father's expertise in Neuroscience and Brainwave research that he barely got out alive. Danny was one of 8 subjects stable out of the 60 volunteer subjects (they were either dead or in a coma). It was an official decision that they would only use the Neurolinkers on newborns as they have a really risk ratio than a mature human adult or adolescent. Taking advance of the situation, he asked his father to fake his death so that the people won't come for him because of his special "knowledge". However his fake death cost him his mother to suicide herself, which he grieves and take full responsibility for his action. With his mother gone, his father retired to take care of his kids who are in despair from their mother's passing. Since he is officially "dead", he disappeared and told his father that he feel such sorrow for his mother's dead, but he gained freedom and will continue to carry her will with him forever. Before complete disappearing, he broke into the lab and stole a prototype Brain Burst program as he took an interest in after he heard rumors of it and that it can access into "another world". Again, it was sear luck that he both successfully installed with no problem and accessed the Accel World without detection. He met with the creator as he was the only one to figure out his presences and made a deal with him. Danny told him that he is only interested in the developing Accel World itself, nothing else. He will not bother the creator if he doesn't bother him. The commented that his duel avatar is "clear" and can see through him, hence giving Danny the nickname "Ghost". Since the Neurolinker made his official announcement to the public, he has been mapping out the Accel World's "mainframe" with a special external armament satellite he designed called Ghostwalker which release a beacon satellite to "marker" the area. I has no worry about duel avatar finding the satellite as it is far out in the Accel World's orbital space and none of the duel avatars can fly. For the last 16 years, he has been in Japan moving around and monitoring the Accel World's development. He does not get involve with duel avatars and when Kuroyukihime "killed" Red Rider he knew that it was bound to happen at some point. He consider the Chrome Disaster nothing more than an annoying nuisance and a duel avatar's mistake. During the 16 years, he found few other "clear" duel avatars that don't want to duel. Thus, he gave them a role to observe the Accel World and upgrade their avatar to escape detections and duels. He took benefit of this situation so that he have more time in the real world to doing stuff (he spends long hours in the Accel World which tires him out).

Danny's personality is antisocial, but not emotionless as understands people's feelings. He once said that if he made friends, they would used against him by "other" people. He has white hair, brown eyes and somewhat tall. He is always seen with a laptop and wears a black cap with the letter "G" on it (G= Ghost). He living up to his "Ghost" name as people think he is a myth or fake. He is in peak shape despite spending a long time in Accel World. He also very agile and very good keeping himself undercover. He is a very good cook despite he taking a long time to learn with the Internet and actually doing it himself. His persona as "Ghost" is a revolutionary hacker that is a threat globally. The government think he is a cyber terrorist, but in reality he just want to screw with the government for fun. Although he seen as a terrorist, he didn't hurt anyone or stolen any secret documents. The government take this act as intimidation. Til this day, no one has ever seen what the Ghost looks like and when he displays himself he covers half his face with a muffler, wears sunglasses and a wig. He knows a lot about Kuroyukihime include her secrets, but doesn't tell anyone because it's her problem not his. He is a very amazing firearms specialist as he self taught himself how to use them when hacked and made copies of all specs of the firearms in the world. The sniper rifle is his favor as he doesn't like the target seeing him and like hit the enemy from far away places.

Duel Avatar- Diamond Angel

He has the ability to fly at supersonic speed even out of the atmosphere. He can crystal any weapon as long it has a shape. Like all "clear" avatars, he has invisiability and phasing capables. He has a built-in hologram computer in his arms. He can near penetrate anything except pure white, as it is his weakness. Duel Avatars that are black or a shade of black can withstand itself armor. His external armament satellite "Ghostwalker" track any movement on the Accel World. It also can temporarily make a duel avatar invisible and not be detected, hence the name.


yes, I agree the info has a lot of "holes" like I forgot to mention that the project was done in Japan. I made this from scrap and didn't look over it. However, I brought up interesting questions. What went on before the Neurolinker's creation? Who came up with the idea of creating it? Were there testing done? If yes, what were the results of it? Is it possible that other people (older) found an alternate way into the Accel World? How old is the creator? Could he have colleagues that know him?

Anyway, the idea of an observer's existence in the Accel World isn't that bad of an idea.


Thanks for the clarification and other ideas. Also, Danny is child genius (even he doesn't like being one), so he could of figure out "other" ways into the AW. My fan-made char is a person whose child was so isolated and grew up anitsocial and has lack of trust in people. This experiment I mention is of a different prototype Neurolinker (not the safe one). There are always scientists that will to risk breaking boundaries, even if it's risking death. Danny's dad is a scientist that like to test theory, but still has a moral compass.

Also in the profile, I forgot to mention that the dad is Japanese and move to America because of his parents. Danny's dad cares about Danny, hence why he was against him volunteering for the experiment. He only finally accept because of the life Danny lived..as a "tool with no personal will". Death to him is freedom, even though he survived. He only got in to AW by chance (really big ratio, chance isn't always 0%). The guy like to plan ahead and test theory like his father.

His mother was the only thing that kept Danny's sanity. She was not aware of the experiment or that he volunteered for it. The "fake" death really broke her heart which that she loved him so much to kill herself to be with him. Danny's two siblings thinks he's dead and are sad. The reason say anything I didn't say anything about the 16 years he's been in Japan because I want keep him opened and it a pain in the a$$ to write it.

Diamond Angel in my head would basically be a crystal angel whose nearly indestructible (he's stronger than CD no doubt) and fire energy out of himself. White duel avatars has a huge advantage against him while black and metal only can bang him up. He hates SC because, one, he can fly and, two, he is worried he will find out what out in the AW's orbital (Ghost Walker). Exposing himself to "allies" is a huge risk to him and something that he would rarely do.

Also the BB program he stolen would be diifferent from the one the users knows. He could of tweak the program. If DA and Blue Knight would fight, Blue would lose despite having Vanquish. DA is like a deity that get involve unless a situation is connected to him. Kaos! views on "observers" are pretty depressing, but I don't like thinking that way. Also BIC or a different variation of "neurolinker" is better. I feel bad for the guy I created, but I usual like this kind of character... a good guy that's been through hell.

I'm open to ideas to make Danny/Diamond Angel better and solid without derailing his main traits.


DA is special and unique. I think I also mention several posts ago that he can change any color since he is like a prism and hides his wings. He probably went by different aliases so that no one would notices. Also, he also is probably very conservative of his BPs. Remember, he always in AW for a huge majority of the time. Another case, he probably hack some that he would have an unlimited amount of BPs so he doesn't have to duel. I could come up more theory, but I'm tired.

Interstingly, churchblue admitted in a subsequent post that Diamond Angel is indeed overpowered:

DA is overpowering, hence that the reason WHY he doesn't duel. He thinks it would ruin the balance. He always manipulate his BPs so doesn't have to duel. I do believe the "clear" avatar have bad luck. For DA, he is suffering from isolation (doesn't trust people and trust himself). DA in real life is a mess up but a good person although I would need help to tweak his profile (few users helped me a lot).
